The first General Election of WolvHaven was held from 6 April 2017 to to form the House of Representatives (HOR) of the 6th Parliament of WolvHaven.. The previous parliament was dissolved on 1st April 2017 by the president and the brand new parliamentary system introduced in 2017 was employed which made the creation of political parties legal.

New Parliamentary System

This election marks the start of a new parliament system being introduced to WolvHaven. This means that the elected seats in the HOR will be allocated to members based on a Mixed Member Representation system where the % of the vote obtained by each party in the general Election is the % of the elected seats in the HOR each party gets. Should a party win more elected seats than it can fill, the extra seats are considered as overflow seats and will not be used in the HOR.

This means that there are 2 new seats in the HOR - elected and unelected. Elected seats are seats awarded to elected individuals from the general elections. Meanwhile the unelected seats are given to citizens who may walk-in during any session.

In order to ensure that elected individuals are able to have a larger influence in the house, each individual who has an elected seat will be represented with 2 votes instead of 1 for the unelected seats.
